"There's a Lizard on my Leaf"
Today's ecollustrator is the creator of this piece:
It came in a clear envelope with a sheet of paper signed Jesus Leal Estrada "El Gambusino". I obtained this ecollustration when I was walking the streets of the Venice boardwalk, in Los angeles,CA. He's a regular so I highly encourage you go to his booth and please tell him to set up a website. His work is truly beautiful, I do remember he told me he uses the leaves from a tree called "Tampinzerano" the leaves are strong and fibrous which allows him to create great things like the lizard on my leave. I have a leaf carved by Jesus Leal Estrada from many many years ago. At that time he was a local artist in El Paso, Tx. Is he currently in LA?
ReplyDeleteI just bought 4 leaves from him at Jackson Square in New Orleans today. He told me that he is headed to NY soon. He informed me that he likes to travel around with his art.
