Brandi Milne

When doing my Influence Map I couldn't believe I haven't shared one of my favorite, sweet and inspirational illustrator Brandi Milne (even her name sounds cool). I actually first saw her work at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, CA. She also visited my school to give a talk, and she's a really sweet, funny and charismatic person. Her illustrations really reflect the person she is. I love her style from how she draws her sweet characters from flora, fauna and humans, her color palette has a candy touch to it, and it almost feel as if she've been to candy land or wonderland!

  1. How cool that you've met her and had her come to your school. What school was this? Corey Helford is a cool gallery, not too far from where I live in L.A. I know it well. Brandi's work does remind me of candyland. You worded it well.

  2. It was Otis College of Art and Design, and yesh when I saw her and recognized her work I almost passed out, she brought her children's book with her to sell, so you bet I was the first in line to buy it and have her sign it :)
